Background
In the Fall of 2006 Practical Christian Living Centers opened The Well - a center for outreach and
fellowship in Longmont, CO.  In April 2007, in conjunction with several churches in Longmont, the
ministry had reached out to the homeless and was providing emergency sheltering on cold winter
nights using volunteers from several congregations and church facilities as shelters.
What does each community need to participate?
2 or more churches to participate in a rotation to open their building on cold nights
Congregations with open hearts ready to reach out to the poor and needy
A system of pick-up and transport to get folks to the shelter
What kind of support does the ministry provide to each community?
Speakers to visit the local churches, building support for shelters and volunteers
Message Line in your community
Blankets, pillows, cots and help with supplies
Administrative and scheduling support for staffing shelters overnight
